The band was named after the name, Composition inspired by the foundation and purpose of the band, which was to perform the music works by this young musician. The name however is right protected after Mhlengi’s business managing company, Black Tool Pty Ltd which serves as the band’s management. EALY YEARS
Songezo was born in the Eastern Cape but relocated to Johannesburg when his late father (Mthuthuzeli Birthwell Mhlekwa) got a job in the big city. He had a passion of pursuing a music career from a very tender age, but an opportunity to do so proved rather difficult. Upon completing his matric he went to study for a qualification in Human Resources at the Central Johannesburg College. His passion for the music industry kept him active in his local church where he served as lead singer and an assistant music director

In 2014 Songezo Released his debut Gospel album titled, Thanks Giving that can be found in all online stores, e.g. Google play, ITunes and Spotify to mention a few. Among other things Songezo is a co-owner of HUSTLE MONEY RECORDS where he works with his partner/producer Ozius Masthabele better known as Ozzbeatz. It is with this practice which led Songezo exposed to different music genres (e.g. Kwaito, Hip-Hop, Afro soul and Gospel) which in turn shaped his talent.

My name is Xolani Ngwane, Stage name is Disco, I was born in the area called oKhalweni endaweni yasoLwasini and that was in the early 80’s and because of izimpi zom’bango I ended growing up in different places where some of them I was staying temporary like eTsheni area near uMnini, uMlazi G, M and U sections and ended up staying permanent at aMandawe mission near Scottburgh but I’m now based in the Johannesburg (Soweto) because of work,
I matriculated eZimele high school in 2004 and attended tertiary education in UNISA doing my Becompt accounting, UNISA and PricewaterCoopers I obtained my certificate in Banking Service Advice in 2006 and in 2016 I obtained my Certificate in Management and Development in Milpark Education. I currently work for one of the biggest banks in Africa and I’m specializing in IT and I have been working in different departments for the past 10 years now in the same bank.
I started music late in 1998 but I have been doing it part time all these years as when I started it I was still in high school and during those years we used to be away from school going to Johannesburg to record our demos as a group as things were still a bit easy when you move to due to resources and access to recording studios, In the years that I have been in the music industry I have shared a stage with the likes of Professor, Character, Big Nuz, DJ Tira, Sbo Da Poet and Baba uPhuzekhemisi just to name a few and as a group in the previous years we won a music competition eDududu sports ground.
In 2005 when I moved up to Johannesburg to work for a bank through a learnership program and the following year I became permanent and I had less and less time to focus on my music career until last year in 2017 when I met one of my friends Mthandeni Dlamini Mahlaba who is known for his Sketch Comedy work who encouraged me to do something and that is when I decided to put more focus on my music and on the 2nd of February this year I released my 1st single called Get Down produced by DJ Nyceone and it features 039 and DJ Nyceone and I have shot a music video for the same single that was Directed by Mthandeni Dlamini Mahlaba from MDM Productions and it is set to be released soon.
I’m currently promoting my latest single titled Emhlangeni featuring Sbo Da Poet and Dj Nyceone and this song reached 1000 downloads in two weeks and it is now sitting on close to 3000 downloads.
And at the same time I’m busy with sketches and the ones that are currenctly online have 1M reach and more than 500Kviews on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Johannesburg – Gospel singer and pastor Neyi Zimu has died not long after his family revealed that he was battling skin cancer and undergoing chemotherapy.
Zimu, was a pastor at All Nation Revival Ministries and news of this death comes not long after his wife Nelisiwe Sibisi-Zimu revealed that her husband was battling mycosis and was admitted at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital where he was undergoing chemotherapy.
Spirit of Praise, which is a gospel ensemble comprising different singers one of which was Zimu, confirmed on their Twitter account that he died on Wednesday.
Last month Sibisi-Zimu said the 49-year-old hitmaker started having skin skin problem where he developed rash that was itchy.
Speaking to Channel24 Sibisi-Zimu said at the time: “He went on a light light therapy and we realised that it was not giving us results. We decided to involve oncology and he has just started chemotherapy.
“The higher stage treatment of the disease is chemotherapy,” she said.
The news website also reported that earlier in the year his skin started showing changes and he’d appear in public and onstage wearing gloves.
The changes soon started to show on his face too, but he kept on performing even as his condition worsened.
When news of Zimu’s death broke, his fans took to social media to express their sadness and disbelief.
Others, spoke of how his music touched them and pulled them from dark periods of their lives.
